About the program
With support from European Union Trust Fund (MADAD), Mercy Corps launched a consortium led Linked Program, in partnership with DRC, Oxfam, and Al Majmouaa. The program runs from August 2019 till March 2023, and aims to support individuals from the most vulnerable refugee and Lebanese populations residing in the Bekaa, Mount Lebanon and North governorates with:
- Orientation toward technical and marketable skills training to increase chances of employment for job seekers.
- Work-Based Learning opportunities to increase the job seekers’ practical expertise in addition to the basic knowledge that they have.
- Cash for Work activities in coordination with municipalities to support individuals in need of direct income generating opportunities
- Tailored technical and in-kind support to increase income and improve business operations
