This is a three-year program that had already started in December 2019 and will be implemented throughout May 2023 in the Bekaa and South of Lebanon.

About the program

FORSA II program will provide education and employment opportunities to young men and women between 16 and 34 years old living in Lebanon. The program builds on a comprehensive approach that strengthens the employability of young people while improving job placement mechanisms. The program includes different activities to build the participants’ skills through the provision of market-driven training, mentoring sessions, freelance opportunities, and self-employment support. Moreover, to enhance job creation, the program strives to strengthen the small businesses’ capacities by facilitating their access to markets.

Due to the economic and financial collapse, The labor market shrunk dramatically, with massive business closures leading to unprecedented unemployment rates. The purchasing power has collapsed due to the massive depreciation of the Lebanese pound inducing an exacerbated brain drain and an escalating humanitarian crisis. Forsa II believes that youth are the drivers of the economy, and thrives to give them a solution to their problems and a reason to stay in their country and live with dignity.
