Fatima Sahily is a young woman living with her parents, and her five siblings in Rayak, Bekaa. Fatima, like other Lebanese women, seeks to fulfill her goals and find possibilities to live in dignity in Lebanon. She enjoys cooking with a natural talent for food preparation and developed an Instagram cooking page Mrs. Flavor, and a small home baking business. She was able to advertise her products efficiently after receiving the social media marketing training from Mercy Corps FORSA II program in collaboration with The Consultant Partners.

Following the Social Media training, “Mrs. Flavor” exceeded 1000 followers and sold over thirty boxes across Lebanon over the Holiday season, with a significant increase in profits. Furthermore, as she gained popularity on Instagram, various training companies reached out to cover all their coffee break snacks. Fatima did not stop there; she also started working as a Social Media Executive for two companies in Lebanon.

Fatima is only one example out of many courageous Lebanese young women who are fighting to fulfill their dreams despite the economic obstacles that they face in Lebanon.
